The Kaiserbach Valley is the starting point for countless summit ascents, demanding climbing and ski tours in the Kaiser mountains. The ridge hike from Stripsenjoch over Feldberg rewards with magnificent views. A very scenic option is the leisurely hike along the wild romantic Kaiserbach in the valley - in summer and winter. Summit names like Predigtstuhl, Fleischbank, or Totenkirchl bear witness that the Kaiser mountains can also harbor dangers. The memorial chapel Kaiserbach Valley (built in 1984) commemorates the victims. From Griesenau, a 5 km toll road leads to an altitude of 1024 m, directly in front of the imposing mountain massif of the Wild Kaiser. It also allows visitors arriving by car or bus to access the bizarrely romantic mountain world.

NEW from mid-September 2025: Instead of paying directly upon entering, the toll will now be paid relaxed upon exiting. This allows guests to focus on what truly matters from the start – the beautiful nature and the joy of staying in the Kaiserbach Valley.
A new, friendly signage concept guides step by step through the process, and a screen at the exit provides an overview at a glance to inform whether the toll has already been paid. This makes the payment process a minor detail – and the visit remains a fond memory.
Payment is simple and done in just four steps:
Especially convenient: Parking throughout the entire valley is included in the toll fee. The fee is charged per entry into the valley and can also be paid mobile up to 24 hours after entering. Additionally, entry is toll-free daily between 6:00 p.m. and 10:00 p.m.
